Objective: Redesign the 10+ year old disposable coffee cups served at UCLA's 13 coffeehouses with a lively and UCLA-spirited design.
Process: I designed each of the three cup sizes to feature a different UCLA color with a unified coffee bean pattern. In addition, UCLA's Bruin 'B' is given space to stand out cleanly within the design. My design was selected, and I refined it through multiple rounds of revisions. The coffee cup sleeves are randomized upon purchase, and I came up with a variety of humorous and encouraging phrases to engage with the customers. The new cups launched in 2018, and have become a campus-staple with over 5,000 cups used per day. Additionally, I carried over the coffee cup design to create a cohesive look with the Coffee Subscription Cards that were launched in early 2022.
